“The senses of the distance”
“The senses of distance” is searching for ways to express human communication and how close to each other, this on going health crisis brought us. The sculpture is conceptually visualizing the human senses of (Hearing, Taste, Sight, Smell).
Those senses are the constructing bridges that connect the artist and the viewer with knowledge, wonder and excitement.”

My life during quarantine has been active, constructive, creative and at the same time experimental. With keeping this new reality in mind, we are continuing to try to experience and live every minute of the hour. Through all this, life gifted us with the extra time that each of us wanted. Even the artists that creat their own space and time, I think they have to developed a new realm that works for them. What does not change is the need for creatively, even under the challenges of self-limitation.
The social distance due to the corona presents difficulties which are to be dealt with the dream, the imagination, and the creation of works of art.

“Οι αισθήσεις της αποστασης”
Η ζωή μου κατά την διάρκεια της καραντίνας ήταν ενεργητική, εποικοδομητική, δημιουργική και συνάμα δοκιμαστική.Έχοντας πια στο μυαλό μας μια νέα πραγματικότητα, προσπαθούμε να βιώνουμε και να ζούμε το κάθε μας λεπτό.
Μέσα από όλο αυτό η ζωή μας χάρισε τον χρόνο που ήθελε ο καθένας μας. Ακόμα και οι καλλιτέχνες που φτιάχνουν το δικό τους χώρο και χρόνο, πιστεύω πως ανέπτυξαν μια νέα σταθερά γύρω τους. Η σταθερά αυτή ήταν ο δημιουργικά μεταβαλλόμενος αυτοπεριορισμός.
Η κοινωνική απόσταση λόγο του κορονοιού παρουσιάζει δυσκολίες οι οποίες αντιμετωπίζονται με το όνειρο, την φαντασία και την δημιουργία έργων τέχνης.
Το έργο που προτείνω έχει να κάνει με την αναζήτηση τρόπων έκφρασης της ανθρώπινης επικοινωνίας και πόσο κοντά μας έφερε εν τέλη αυτή η κατάσταση. Πάνω στο έργο απεικονίζονται κάποιες από τις αισθήσεις όπου είναι ο βασικός κορμός του. Είναι δε αυτές οι γέφυρες του καλλιτέχνη και του θεατή με την γνώση.
